Mr. Alex Tumusiime

Alex is a Financial Management specialist with over 25 years of experience managing large/complex organizations at management level. He possesses valuable experience in public sector financial management processes and procedures with vast budgets/resources. His experience covers key functional areas of donor reporting, budgeting, budget implementation, cost control, audit, procurement system reviews and people management, sound knowledge of accounting systems such as PASTEL. Alex is currently serving at Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) as a Regional Manager. He has previously worked as a Finance Manager, Management Accountant with UNRA. He has worked for Uganda Wildlife Authority, New Vision, and Uganda Railways Corporation as Finance Manager/Accountant respectively. Alex holds a Masters in Economic Policy and Planning from Makerere University, Bachelors of Commerce (B.com)– Makerere University, with the following professional qualifications. • He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK; • A member of the Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU); Alex has a broad knowledge acquired from numerous national and international trainings; Project management course in Israel, Financial Management and Disbursement Course for World Bank financed Projects (Malawi), Financial and budgetary management of projects and organizations (CANADA), Financial modeling in Excel (Zambia), Public Private Partnership (PPP) in Washington, USA; Public Expenditure Management course in UK, Advanced Financial reporting course in Italy, Advanced Financial reporting in United Arab Emirates, Procurement guidelines of PPDA, World Bank and African Development Bank, Training of Trainers, several IFMS modules, PASTEL Accounting, SUN Accounting
