Protection for Women and Children

This pillar integrates child protection and gender-based violence (GBV) prevention into a unified framework that safeguards vulnerable groups and promotes safe, nurturing environments. It is anchored in SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and national child protection frameworks, while also contributing to global efforts to end violence against women and children. By combining community-based response mechanisms, school-based interventions, parenting programmes, and survivor-centred GBV services, the pillar ensures that protection is not just reactive but preventive and empowering. It reflects TPO Uganda’s commitment to building resilient families and communities where children thrive and women live free from violence and exploitation.
