Mr. Albert Elasu Obongonyinge

Alfred is a professional accountant with 40+ years of experience in the public and private sectors. He has vast experience in the banking sector. His areas of specialty include accounting, ICT, legal, statutory and the regulatory framework, risk Management and Accounting and reporting requirements He is currently serving at Kabermaido District Local Government as the District Parliamentary Accounts Committee and BRAC Uganda Bank Ltd as a Non-Executive Director. He has previously worked served in senior positions at Standard Chartered Bank (U) Ltd as Executive Director (2008 – 2015), Head of Finance and Financial Controller (2004 – 2007). Mr. Obongonyinge has also served as lecturer for Makerere University (1996 – 2009), Principal Systems Analyst at Uganda Electricity Board (1996 – 1997). Alfred holds a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Chemistry from Makerere University, Kampala -Uganda, with the following professional qualifications. • He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), UK; • He is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA), UK; • A member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU); Board Engagements: BRAC Uganda Bank Ltd He serves as Chairperson Board of Directors, Prior (March -August 2021), he served as Chairperson, Audit Committee.
