Farewell to a visionary leader: TPO Uganda bids goodbye to board chairperson Canon Ken Odur

After six years of impactful service, Canon Ken Odur Gabelle has retired as Chairperson of the TPO Uganda Board. In recognition of his leadership, TPO Uganda held a warm farewell celebration attended by board members, the Promoters Council Chairperson, and senior management.
Canon Odur is especially celebrated for steering the development and mid-term implementation of the Strategic Plan 2022–2027, themed “Consolidating the Gains.” Prior to his role as Chairperson, he chaired the Governance and Organizational Development Committee, playing a vital role in strengthening the organization’s governance and accountability systems.
“We’ve achieved great things together, and I am proud of the progress we have made. Your passion and expertise will continue to lift TPO Uganda higher,” he shared in his farewell message.
His tenure also saw key milestones including hosting Donor Round Table discussions, leading the 30th Anniversary celebrations, guiding TPO Uganda to be named ‘Best Mental Health Supporting Organization’, and achieving CHS certification (2023).
Canon Odur leaves behind a legacy of integrity, vision, and unwavering commitment. TPO Uganda is deeply grateful for his service and leadership.
