TPO Uganda is now seeking person with USAID work experience for the following positions for its USAID – Keeping Children Healthy and Safe (KCHS) Activity. All positions will be based in our Mbarara regional offices and candidates must be willing and ready to live and work in the region.

Position:

Grants Management specialist

  

Reports to:

Chief Of Party

  

Location:

Mbarara (1 person)

  

 

Grants Management Specialist will head the KCHS grants management unit and provide overall prudent grant management support in compliance with USAID policies and regulations. He/She will supervise and support 3 grants and compliance officers who will be attached to each of the 3 implementing partners across 25 districts in south western and central Uganda. The Grants Management Specialist will be supported by the TPO-Uganda Grants and Compliance Manager. He/She will work with the COP, DTS/DCOP, Financial management and Operations Director and Technical Team Leads to ensure granting process adheres to approved frameworks. He/she will ensure that key processes are in place to manage grant risk assessments, donor financial compliance and reporting management processes

Person Specifications:

The holder should possess a master’s degree in business management, finance and administration or a related field. He/She should have relevant experience in managing financial and administrative components of grants, specifically the candidate should possess experience with USAID contracting and grant mechanism with demonstrated knowledge of USAID financial management systems, regulation, and reporting requirements

 

Position:

 

Informatics /ICT Specialist

   

Reports to:

 

Director MEAL

Mbarara (1 person)

   

 

Informatics /ICT Specialist will be responsible for providing ICT support, processing, packaging data in state of art formats of Keeping Children Healthy and Safe (KCHS) Activity to demonstrate the progress and impact made by the project as well as ensuring a functional and networked ICT system, online reporting across 25 target districts in Western and Central Uganda. He/She will be responsible for providing timely ICT solutions and online reporting innovations to improve data collection, entry, analysis and processing to obtain accurate reports working with and supporting other Implementing partners and District Local Governments

Person Specifications:
The holder should possess a bachelor’s degree in ICT, statistics and demography, public health or a diploma in M&E from a recognized institution and relevant work experience of managing data and reporting of NGOs community-based children and adolescent health projects specifically HIV/AIDS, livelihoods and child protection is required. Experience in online reporting working with HIMS, OVCMIS and Local Governments reporting systems are added advantages.

District Project Coordinators

Isingiro, Mbarara, Bushenyi, Rwampara,   Ntungamo, Rukungiri

   

District Program Coordinator will be based in the respective districts in Western Uganda and will be responsible for providing overall leadership and project management support of KCHS activities in three districts (Isingiro & Mbarara, Bushenyi & Rwampara, Ntungamo & Rukungiri), They will be responsible for coordinating, networking, supervising social workers and ensuring services delivery at household level by Parasocial workers is on course and representing the project, compiling work plans and reports among others.

Person Specifications:
The holder should possess a bachelor’s degree in social sciences, community development, community health or a diploma in social development from a recognized institution and relevant work experience of managing NGOs community-based children and adolescent health projects specifically HIV/AIDS, livelihoods and child protection. Experience in working with Local Governments systems is an added advantage.

Position:

Data Manager

  

Reporting to:

M & E Specialist

  

Location:

Mbarara (1 person)

  

 

Data Manager will be responsible for the M&E function of Keeping Children Healthy and Safe (KCHS) Activity at the regional office level coordinating at least 6 districts in Western Uganda including; Mbarara, Rwampara, Isingiro, Bushenyi, Ntungamo, and Rukungiri.. He/She will be responsible for ensuring timely data collection, entry, analysis and generation of accurate reports using the recommended formats. He/She will provide support to M&E Officers and other KCHS staff including social workers, Parasocial workers to ensure appropriate tools are readily available and used to collect reliable data for tracking progress and project impact.

Person Specifications:
The holder should possess a bachelor’s degree in statistics and demography, public health or a diploma in M&E from a recognized institution and relevant work experience of managing data and reporting of NGOs community-based children and adolescent health projects specifically HIV/AIDS, livelihoods and child protection is required. Experience in online reporting working with HIMS, OVCMIS and Local Governments reporting systems are added advantages.

Position:

Social Worker

  

Reporting to:

District Project Coordinator

  

Location:

Isingiro &  Mbarara, Bushenyi  &  Rwampara,   Ntungamo   Rukungiri, (25people)

  

Social Worker will be responsible for coordinating and delivering KCHS services in the sub-counties and communities including supporting community structures such as the Parasocial workers, supporting community-health facility linkages for children, adolescents living with HIV/AIDS, children affected by violence and their families. He/She will be responsible for supporting facility-community referral linkages for comprehensive services package to children and adolescent living with HIV/AIDS and their families, compiling and submitting work plans and reports among others.

Person Specifications:

The holder should possess a bachelor’s degree in social sciences, community development or a diploma in social development from a recognized institution and relevant work experience of managing NGOs community-based children and adolescent health projects specifically HIV/AIDS, livelihoods, and child protection. Experience apprenticeship programs for youth and families infected and affected by HIV/AIDS and Violence against Children are added advantages.
